Case: A 51-year-old male who has 1,5 cm rigid, elevated and skin coloured papule in the anterior of the right thigh, was admitted to general surgery clinic. On the histopathological examination of the excised material; the tumor was composed of basaloid cells and pigmented melanocytic cells and had a prominent cystic change. The case was diagnosed as melanocytic matricoma based on the histopathological and immunohistochemical findings and there was no recurrence during 13 months of follow-up.

Conclusion: Although a few malignant melanocytic matricoma cases have been described in the literature, significant cystic changes has not been reported. Being aware of these lesions is important for the diagnosis of these tumors composed of epithelial and melanocytic cells.
