DOI : 10.5146/jcpath.2017.09 Aim: Hemosiderotic fibrolipomatous tumor is a rare tumor with local aggressive behavior. It is recently described under the ?Tumors of uncertain differentiation? heading in World Health Organization 2013 classification.

Case Report: An excisional biopsy was performed to the growing soft tissue mass in the axillary region of a 47 year old woman. The tumor was diagnosed as a hemosiderotic fibrolipomatous tumor.

Result: Relapses due to insufficient excision are common. However, there is no reported metastasis to date. This tumor is clinically non-specific, requires definitive diagnosis of histopathological examination, and should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of soft tissue tumors.
