This virus is thought to be a zoonotic infection similiar to SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV. The transmission of viral particles through aerosols has been proven. Therefore, preventing the aerosol spread is the most important factor. The possibility of receiving infected samples for diagnostic purposes is important in taking the necessary measures to protect ourselves and our staff. Eventhough routine histotechnological procedures inactivate most viruses and histopathology laboratories are lucky in terms of most pathogens in this regard, the World Health Organization states that all samples taken for laboratory evaluation should be considered potentially infectious during pandemic period. In this article, we have compiled the precautions to be taken in pathology laboratories during pandemic in the light of current literature. Anahtar Kelimeler : Biosafety, Covid-19, Pandemic, Pathology lab precautions
